ABOUT ME
Elizabeth Villaverde
Early Childhood Consultant, Coach and Trainer
Although I now have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, I initially entered this field decades ago in South America at a point in my life where I just needed a job. However, the work was so engaging and inspiring that it became a career and a vocation.
Thirty-six years later, my work in this sphere includes roles as a teacher assistant, home visitor, preschool teacher, education supervisor, mental health/special needs coordinator, director, trainer, coach and consultant.
I have had the pleasure and privilege to have opened centers, overseen programs, created Head Start family child care programs, run child care centers, worked as a CDA and community college instructor, presented and coordinated training, been a national evaluator, been invited to homes and centers to coach and consult.
This breadth of experience has given me understanding of what inspires early childhood professionals and their needs. It is fueled by my passion for us to do the best for the children and families we serve but most of all for my colleagues in the early childhood profession.

MY APPROACH
Growth, Empowerment, Wellbeing
As a bi-lingual independent Early Childhood Consultant, I have provided impactful training to early childhood professionals in a large range of subjects from behavior management to marketing.
Working as coach in quality improvement, it is a passion of mine to support early childhood practitioners to develop quality improvement plans, sharing technical assistance through resources or expertise that would help them be successful in carrying out their objectives. I am known among colleagues as a “resource junkie” as I can’t resist any material that can help others understand the how and why of the many things we promote in early childhood education.

My commitment to this work is driven by the instances where I can help practitioners to not only reflect on their inner skills and abilities, but connect to those "light-bulb" moments where they can understand their importance and the significance of the work they are already doing.

I believe that our experiences and understanding are the best tools at our disposal to create positive outcomes for children and families . Whether it be one to one consultation, presenting regularly at state and local conferences, or training at the national level at conferences sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, I find it rewarding to share my knowledge to empower and provide insight to early childhood professionals so that children can thrive.
